Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay
Immerse yourself in the enchanting energy and serene beauty of Bali. Nestled in a tranquil bay with three miles of sandy shores, the private pool villas are perfect for a family vacation or a romantic escape. With breathtaking views and genuine cultural experiences, our luxurious resort offers you a profound appreciation of the island's remarkable landscapes and unique heritage.
A Luxurious Tropical Retreat on Bali's Southern Coast
The Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay opened its doors on Bali's southern shores in 1993, and it has only grown more impressive with time. Enhancements include adding pools to the charming thatched-roof villas and residences, introducing the stylish Sundara beach club, and transforming the spa into a ‘Holistic Healing Village,’ all while continuously refreshing dining and drinking options. The clientele reflects a sophisticated White Lotus vibe, primarily consisting of affluent Americans, Europeans, Japanese, and Koreans, often seen in flowing linens and Cartier Tanks, cared for by some of the island's most experienced staff, many of whom have been with the hotel for over 20 years. Although it’s tempting to retreat and unwind in solitude, the Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay fosters a social atmosphere, encouraging families to engage with one another over breakfast, at one of the three swimming pools, or during cocktail-making classes.
LOCATION:
Nestled along Bali's southwest coast in the serene area of Jimbaran Village, the Resort sits on a beautiful 3-mile (4.8-kilometer) stretch of golden sand. It is conveniently located just 20 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport and 45 minutes from the vibrant nightlife of Seminyak.
ACCOMMODATION:
There are 147 villas of different sizes and styles, along with nine impressive residences nestled on the hillside that overlooks Jimbaran Bay. Each villa is enclosed by tall stone walls and features private pools surrounded by stunning gardens adorned with frangipani trees and charming stone statues. The interiors showcase a fusion of Balinese and New England styles, combining vaulted palm thatch roofs, teak floors, and intricately carved wood panels with canopy beds and soft furnishings in cream, navy, and duck egg blue. The bathrooms are spacious and romantic, featuring stand-alone tubs large enough for two, complete with candles and incense to enhance the ambiance. Overall, the aesthetic is timeless and inviting, though the technology, especially the perplexing light switches, could benefit from modernization.
FOOD AND DRINK:
You have an abundance of options with five incredible bars and restaurants to choose from, including Sundara Beach Club, which offers hotel guests priority access to the seaside festivities. Most visitors, including many long-term Bali expats, flock here during the day — especially for the popular boozy weekend brunches — but it's also a delightful spot for dinner when the crowds have lessened and the bay shimmers beautifully. Indulge in dishes like roast scallops with smoked corn, crispy Balinese-style suckling pig, and mango and passionfruit mille-feuille.
Jala provides another unforgettable dining experience, showcasing vibrant Indonesian cuisine such as shredded roast chicken with ginger and cabbage, fish dumplings in chili lemongrass broth, and lamb prepared with wild turmeric and long beans, all served from an open kitchen nestled in an antique home.
Start your day with a lavish breakfast buffet at Taman Wantilan, featuring a juice bar, pancake station, and live cooking stations offering dishes from Indonesia, Japan, Bali, India, and China. In the evening, an international buffet awaits you on the terrace. As night falls, escape to the tropical speakeasy Telu, where you can enjoy arak-based cocktails beside a serene lotus-flower pond.
